The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you. Deuteronomy 31:6.

The NC Department of Health and Human Services launched a new Statewide Peer Warmline in February 2024. "The new Peer Warmline will work in tandem with the NC 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline by giving callers the option to speak with a Peer Support Specialist. Peer Support Specialists (or "peers") are people living in recovery with mental illness and/or substance use disorder who provide support to others who can benefit from their lived experience."
We are so glad you're here! Here you will find resources and information on mental health conditions and community sources. We hope you also find encouragement and support. We know recovery from mental health conditions happens every day, and we pray that these resources inspire hope and healing!
We hope you will join us at Mental Health Oasis, a educational and supportive group for mental health and illness. At Mental Health Oasis , we are committed to serving our community with mental health resources and providing a safe place to come together in discussing needs. While we do not provide therapy, we hope that our resources and assistance decrease the isolation and difficulty that mental illness can bring. Please see our Resource page for Mental Health Oasis presentations.
Following God’s loving lead, our mission is to provide education, training, and resources to those with mental health conditions and their caregivers in support of health, healing, and hope.
We serve the Orange and Chatham counties, as well as surrounding areas.
Through our mission, we provide evidence-based resources from organizations such as the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). We assist in connecting others with community resources such as therapists and other providers.
The cornerstone of our training and education is Mental Health First Aid (MHFA). As certified mental health first aiders, we use the ALGEE acronym in assessing, listening, giving re-assurance and information, and encouraging appropriate professional help, self-help, and other support. MHFA is like CPR, but for mental health.
